Former USSR defender Alexander Bubnov has launched a scathing attack on coach Andrei Talalaev, stating he holds a strong dislike for him. “I don’t like Talalaev. He recently said rightly: ‘If I weren’t a coach, I’d be a tamer.’ In a circus, damn it. That’s where he belongs. Who did he tame there, damn it? I’d like to see how they tamed lions and tigers…”
Bubnov insisted that Vladislav Radimov must respond to Talalaev’s insults. “Because he called Radimov a traitor, a slacker… and some other serious insult. The key thing is: everything he listed are his own distinguishing qualities. He is exactly that, damn it. I think Radimov absolutely must answer him and not let this slide.”
Reacting to Radimov’s statement that “I promise I’ll write a book. There are a couple of characters who need to be put in their place,” Bubnov said, “See, he has characters who cannot be forgiven. But isn’t he a character himself? Name those characters! He doesn’t want to, he’s scared. A coward! And he called Radimov a coward,” concluded the former Soviet national team player.
