The New Orleans Saints are set to host the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL’s first regular-season game ever played in France, according to multiple reports. The matchup was first hinted at by the @OzzyNFL account on Twitter, which has a history of leaking scheduling details, and was later confirmed by Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The game is scheduled for October 25 in Paris.
The NFL is expanding its international footprint more aggressively than ever, with nine games set to be played abroad in 2026—up from five the previous year. This season’s slate includes three games in London, one each in Paris, Madrid, Melbourne, Germany, Rio de Janeiro, and Mexico City. Under the current collective bargaining agreement with the NFL Players Association, the league can hold up to 10 international games per season, and it has expressed ambitions to eventually increase that number to 16.
